Our client has been commissioned to provide Citrix Systems Administration and web development support to Ft. Sill, OK DOIM.

Background/Scope of Project: Citrix Terminal Services

The Department of the Army G6 has directed that Army networks begin transitioning to a terminal services/thin client environment. To comply with this directive, the Directorate of Information Management (DOIM), Fort Sill, Oklahoma, is preparing to implement a Citrix Terminal Services environment on the Fort Sill campus network. The Directorate of Information Management (DOIM), Fort Sill, Oklahoma, has contracted with our client to provide on-going Citrix Systems Administration support, and to develop and maintain database-driven web applications in support of business operations, both for the DOIM and their customers on Fort Sill.

Standard Job Description:

Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

Typical Minimums:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5-7 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.

Specific Job Description:

Citrix Systems Administrator to provide Citrix installation and administration support to the Director of Information Management, Fort Sill, Oklahoma. The successful candidate must be able to:
. Develop and implement a Citrix Terminal Service solution
. Develop and maintain a storage management program for system users and provide routine incremental and full backups
. Maintain all servers in the Citrix environment to DOD standards with service patches, security related hot fixes and registry edits, including the latest antivirus protection
. 50% Develop and maintain a thin client solution for system users
. 20% Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products and makes hardware and software recommendations for thin clients and the software to manage them
. 20% Create STIGed image for thin clients and servers in the thin client environment to DOD standards with service patches, security related hot fixes and registry edits, including the latest antivirus protection
. 10% Perform duties on the systems in place to support the customer mission.
. DIACAP certification preparation as required.

Required Skills:

Must be proficient with:
. Citrix Terminal Services
. Microsoft Windows Server 2003
. Microsoft Active Directory
. Ability develop and maintain a thin client solution for system users
. Ability to create STIGed image for thin clients and servers in the thin client environment to DOD standards with service patches, security related hot fixes and registry edits, including the latest antivirus protection
. Some Familiarity with DIACAP Certification Process
. Must have Network Security Certification such as Security+, System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), or equivalent.

Candidate must be able to accomplish all assigned tasks with minimal supervision and must be able to perform quality control of activities of lower-level team members. Attention to detail is critical and must be able to work well in a dynamic team environment.

Must be a self-starter and able to interact with users and evaluate vendor products.
Excellent communication and customer interface skills

Position will primarily be 1st shift - however candidate must be available to work weekends and/or after normal duty hours in the event of an emergency.

Desired Skills:

. DoD Experience; Extensive hands-on knowledge of DoD/Army networks, policies, procedures, and best practices.

CLEARANCES REQUIRED

Secret Clearance; Candidate will be allowed to start with an Interim-Secret Clearance.

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE:

Six (6) month temp-to-perm, where the client has the option of hiring the employee after 6 months of satisfactory performance. Permanent salary range: $45K - $55K (commensurate with Education and Experience).
