Global Clinical Dictionary Analyst
Location: Malvern, PA
Duration: 6 month contract (renewable)

The Global Dictionary Analyst is responsible for facilitating Dictionary management processes, including maintaining and supporting the development of clinical dictionaries used in clinical data analysis. The Senior Analyst oversees coding practices, consistency and accuracy across projects, programs and R&D Operating Companies.

Principle duties include:
Ensure timely delivery of appropriate and consistent coding of all clinical study AE and Medication data to facilitate meeting project timelines.
Undertake coding and review of verbatim terms when necessary to successfully meet project timelines
Ensure coders adhere to establish processes/procedures
Communicate progress and issues related to coding assignments to Head, Dictionary Group and DML/CDM (as appropriate)
Assist in identifying and implementing new dictionaries and software improvements (dsNavigator, eDM, etc)
Assist in development and maintenance of Dictionary SOPs and Working Instructions
Assist Coders in writing and resolving dictionary queries
Undertake sample based Q.C. of synonym additions.
Coordinate internal synonym lists.
Coordinate upgrades of synonym lists with development partners
Submit requests to external dictionary maintenance organizations (WHO, MSSO)
Participate in Process Improvement Initiatives

Education & Experience Requirements:
3 years Industry experience (minimum) with 2 years clinical coding experience
BSN degree and/or equivalent Science based degree
Skilled in computer-based clinical data management systems and database
Familiarity with dictionary coding tools (WHODrug, MedDRA, etc) and dictionary coding software
Technically skilled in Dictionary Management processes and systems
Clinically oriented and able to manage the content of the coding data

Qualities & Characteristics
Able to collaborate with Global cross-functional counterparts and team members to drive the global dictionary management deliverables.
Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills with particular attention to detail.
Demonstrated outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a virtual Global team environment and collaborate with peers in a professional manner
Ability to work independently and perform responsibilities
