Description
Our client, one of the fastest growing hospital networks in the country is looking for a talented candidate for the role of Clinical Documentation Applications Analyst II in the IS Department.

Scope of Position (Principle Duties):

Implement, maintain, and manage new or existing healthcare information systems. Act as the primary liaison between the user community, application vendors, and to other IS resources.

Responsibilities include leading system design sessions, system build, testing, debugging, policy and procedure development, user training, and implementation support.

Coordinate system change requests (including upgrades) for assigned service lines. Consult with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Write software modification specifications as needed.

May be expected to write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, corrections and manuals for users to describe installation and operating procedures. Participate in or lead software selection processes as requested. Provide ongoing support and communication to service lines. Cross-trained to support multiple applications.

Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Has knowledge of patient care environment and in-depth knowledge of hospital processes. Must have a working knowledge of relational databases and client-server concepts. Able to employ expert report development tools and custom data application tools at an advanced level of expertise.

Experience/Skills
Experience Required:
  • Experience in Horizon Expert Documentation (HED) and/or Admin RX (HaRX) is preferred.
  • Experience in McKesson or other vendor nursing clinical documentation systems is a requirement.
  • RN or other clinical background is preferred.
  • Experience in clinical content design (informatics) is preferred.
Skills:

  • Clinical system configuration.
  • Possesses working knowledge of project management concepts and demonstrates consistent success in managing system implementations.
  • Works under general supervision using a wide degree of creativity and discretion.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
  • May perform system administration functions.
  • May lead and direct the work of others.
  • May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be a top-level contributor/specialist.
  • Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/division.
Travel Requirement:
Primary work location will remote via telecommuting.,br> Travel will be required out to the markets in order to interact with market IT personnel and end customers.
Amount of travel will vary depending on projects and tasks that are being worked at any given point in time.
Estimated travel 50 – 75% of the time.
