Position Description - Senior Developer

About the Organization:
The Single-Family Technology (SFT) organization is an enterprise level team that supports the development, implementation and maintenance of Single-Family systems.

There are seven primary groups that make up SFT:
- Automated Underwriting Technologies
- Committing, Acquisition, and Delivery Systems
- Servicer and Investor Reporting Systems
- Credit Loss Management Systems
- Single-Family Technology Planning
- Single-Family Technology Business Management
- Asset Servicing

About the Team:
The MBS Accounting and Securities Tracking Team (MAST) is responsible for supporting and enhancing the Cobol/IDMS based MAST application. This application supports the reporting and reconciliation of servicer payments on Fannie Mae MBS Securities currently approximately $35 Billion each month.

About the position:
Member of a small team of 6 Cobol/IDMS developers supporting the entire system life cycle of development and production support activities for the MAST Application.

Responsibilities:
Carrying a pager (rotated among team on a monthly basis) and providing 24x7 production support for the MAST application.
Consulting with clients to define and document testable requirements.
Providing technical leadership for various phases of the software development life cycle including design, development, test, implementation, and maintenance.
Providing technical expertise on highly complex, Cobol/IDMS based systems.
The candidate will be required to implement technical solutions which comply with MAST application architecture.
The candidate will also be required to make significant enhancements to various IBM Mainframe frameworks used by the MAST application including JCL, Procs, CA-7, and IBM Utilities.

Qualifications:
Must-Have Skills:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science and/or 8+ years of software development experience, including 4+ years of experience in IBM Mainframe technologies.
- 6+ years of experience using IDMS databases.
- 3+ years of experience with the following technologies is also required: Endevor, IBM MQ Series, IBM Procedures, IBM Utilitiles, JCL, CA-7.

Nice to Have Skills:
- Good people skills an ability to work with a wide variety of personalities and technical skill levels.
Qualification Rating FNMACompany Default Category 5-7+ years software development experience.
5+ Yrs. Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.

Yes Post-graduate degree desired.
No Professional certification(s) desired.
No Strong knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
