The qualified candidate will be instrumental in the design and maintenance of the overall B.I. systems architecture, creation of Cognos catalogs directly against the ERP system, to include automation of data processing functions with complete alert and error handling mechanisms within the Windows environment, able to support and administrate Microsoft SQL from a DBA perspective, define and maintain DecisionStream scripts, perform data validations and testing. Strong working knowledge of programming in SQL is required.

Requirements:

Minimum 3-5 years solid experience in working with the Cognos suite of tools: Impromptu, Powerplay, Consolidation (Cognos Finance), and DecisionStream.

Must possess experience designing and creating data warehouses.

Work experience with BPCS or other major ERP systems on an AS/400 platform.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles as there will be heavy interaction with the Finance group. Minimum 5 years supporting financial disciplines, preferable within the Consumer Packaged Goods industry.

Strong working knowledge of SQL.

Understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and how to administrate and manage the databases.

Versatile to work independently and with groups.

Superior communication skills and professional attitude.

Well organized with a proven record of handling projects from initiation to post-implementation.

Must be a self-starter.
