We have an immediate need for a Business Intelligence Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a Business Intelligence developer position. The individual needs to be extremely well-versed with the Cognos 8.3 Platform and have deep understanding of Business Intelligence concepts and technologies. Demonstrated ability in developing and particularly in providing top-notch support of Cognos BI solutions by leveraging operations support best practices is required. The individual will be expected to identify and implement productivity saves and process improvements. Basic knowledge and demonstrated abilities of project management, management reporting and escalation, prioritization and execution of multiple tasks is required to be successful in this position. Standard responsibilities surrounding SDLC such as design, development, code-review, integration and unit testing, etc. is expected to be ingrained.

Technical Skills:
5+ years of experience with Business Intelligence tools and technologies with at least 2+ years on the Cognos8.3 Platform.
Expertise in development using Cognos 8.3 Platform with demonstrated experience with Framework manager, Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Query Studio and Security Administration.
Expertise in development of Framework models and reports using relational databases in Cognos 8.3 and the development of cubes using Powerplay Transformer and creating dimensional reports using the Analysis studio.
Well versed in Relational database concepts and OLAP and multi-dimensional database design.
Hands-on experience with Oracle 10G platform and well-versed in troubleshooting mal-performing SQL.
In-depth knowledge of Cognos Report migration and scheduling practices and processes.
