Description
The Cognos Systems Administrator, reporting to the Manager of Data & Reporting Services, is responsible for the installation, customization, maintenance and tailoring of Cognos Application systems as well as providing overall technical guidance for use of Cognos operating systems. In addition this administrator will install and customize Cognos related software products. This individual contributor will design and develop efficient operational procedures for the Cognos Application environment and work closely with the DBAs, and NT server admins on tuning issues as they relate to the Cognos application and operating system.

This position requires in depth knowledge of all aspects Cognos application as well as the ability to find new ways to find technical solutions to business problems. The ability to put parts together in new ways is very important. A major portion of this job is dealing with the applications, operations and database personnel. This position must be able to effectively interface with all levels of the business and management. Continued learning is essential to success in this position.

The Administrator will provide occasional night and weekend support and will need the ability to carry a pager on those occasions.

Experience/Skills
- BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent related experience
- 3 + years of experience with Cognos Applications.

Cognos Access Manager Series 7
Cognos Planning & Budgeting
Cognos ReportNet (Framework Manager + Administrator)
Cognos PowerPlay (Administrator)
Cognos Impromptu (Administrator)
Cognos Upfront Portal
