Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Software Engineer for a 6 - 12 month contract. The company is located conveniently off I5 and I84 in NE Portland. This major company offers a fantastic work environment with a professional work ethic, business casual attire and a great environment. The Software Engineer will have advanced Java / J2EE experience, and with prior knowledge and hands-on experience with ColdFusion. This particular project consists of converting existing ColdFusion applications to J2EE standards. Familiarity with J2EE deployed in SAP WAS environment is helpful.Responsibilities of this position include the following:• Strong understanding of J2EE, ColdFusion, OO and RDMBS concepts • Experience leading the technical architecture for complex Web application architectures, and high volume traffic. • Experience with: Macromedia ColdFusion, Java, J2EE for Web, Linux, Sybase, JSP, EJB, JavaScript, and J2EE container principles.Requirements for this position include the following:Application Programming Languages: • Primary: Java J2EE• Secondary: ColdFusion MX, ASPWeb Interface/Layout Scripting Languages: • Primary: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DHTML• Secondary: AJAX, XHTMLDatabase Query Languages:• Primary: PL/SQL – Oracle 9i • Secondary: Transact-SQL (T-SQL) – SQL Server 2005Database Environments:• Primary: SQL Server 2005, Oracle 9i• Secondary: MySQL, MS Access, Flatfile, XMLCompetencies: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related combination of experience and education.For immediate consideration, apply now or email john.franzese@rht.com
