Description
Works closely with Telephony Engineering Manager to provide design, support and implementation of core switch systems to support the Telephony Division. Provides technical expertise and support to provisioning applications and systems, as well as integration with existing systems.

Experience/Skills
**BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
**Minimum of 5 years experience in a production primary/commercial line telephone environment. A combination of legacy and soft/semi soft switch and MSO industry is highly desirable.
**Minimum 3 years of network engineering and capacity management.
**Translations and routing knowledge.
**Fundamental knowledge of SS7.
**Knowledge of PRI and PBX's.
**Basic knowledge of provisioning and billing systems.
**Knowledge of systems integration and commissioning.
**Knowledge of telco power and grounding requirements.
**Knowledge in developing and/or implementing disaster recovery procedures
**Knowledge of traffic patterns (BHCA, BDBH etc.), utilization and forecasting.
**Goal-oriented individual with the ability to multi-task with minimal supervision
**Personal computer skills, working knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing software, and familiarity with the Internet
**Excellent oral and written communication skills
**Excellent interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution, and ability to accomplish tasks through others (delegation, supervision, etc.).
**Strong, independent problem solving skills; must be self-directed.
**Must be able to manage heavy workloads and high levels of activity and stress; must be flexible in handling changes in direction and process.
**Must have the ability to understand business needs and strike a good balance between business needs and technical implementations.
