Description
CCCi has an opportunity for a Communication Specialist with our Large Energy client in the Charlotte area. This position will focus on communicating information to Energy client’s customers based on input from other support personnel, tracking the status of those communications and following up with customers as needed. These communications will be notifying customer’s of expected circuit outages, insuring the customer has approved the outages, and informing customers and partners of any maintenance work that will be performed. This position will also enter Change Management entries into a database for Telecommunication staff and route them for approval. This position will research fiber cable locates and ensure that the proper personnel are notified/dispatched should a tech need to mark fiber. Create tickets for this work and interface with fiber installation contractors and fiber marking techs before/during/after work as needed.

3 -5 years experience is required with reviewing, verifying and distributing vendor documentation. Perform more complex diagnostic routines using various equipment to verify correct system operations; provide guidance and monitor installation of smaller/simpler systems or components of systems and resolve routine problems and provide technical support during installation. Perform problems trending/tracking to implement problem prevention process, ensure site preparation activities are completed for the installation of network hardware, implement system enhancements, modifications or revisions and update documentation. Isolate equipment, problems; circumvent problems, report problems to vendors and track problem resolution. Tools used: HALO, FiberBase, Outlook, CMS, SharePoint, Remedy ticketing system. Familiar with: SONET and Ethernet circuits, Ciena, Cisco, Nortel and Fujitsu transport equipment. Applicants will be interviewed by phone.
