Immediate need for a Competitive Marketing Research Analyst for our Fortune 50 customer located in Austin, TX. You must be able to perform the following job functions and possess the following job skill requirements. Job Functions: - Analyze industry / technical trends and competitor activities to project future competitor product offerings and positioning - Serve as recognized expert on product-related issues - Provide technical support to assist Competitive Marketing and Competeline activities - Conduct analysis of competitive systems, studying system configurations, pricing, performance, price/performance and features - Prepare and present spreadsheets / presentations outlining the analysis - Produce competitive assessments with 24 hours of customer or Competitor action - Action includes introduction of new systems, new processors, end-of-life of processors or systems, price increases or reductions, performance announcements, or performance projections, roadmap slippage - Assessments include analysis and recommendations for Marketing, Pricing, and Development - Respond to Executive requests on a multitude of current and future issues Required Job Skills: - In depth knowledge of spreadsheet database development and maintenance. - Expert with Microsoft presentation software - Complete understanding of the Computer Industry (UNIX, Linux, Windows & Intel) - Basic technical knowledge of computer hardware - Ability to communicate with several different types of organizations and different skill level professionals - Strong Organizational skills.
