Computer Operations Analyst

To help us continue driving their business forward, our client is in search of an experienced Computer Operations Analyst to join their team in Milwaukee, WI.

This is a 12 month contract position.

Job Description & Responsibilities

  • Open position will be assigned to 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift coverage.
  • Open position may require work on either Saturday or Sunday (but not both), typically every other weekend.
  • First level response to server, database, Middleware, and/or application alarms.
  • First level responsibility for monitoring overnight financial batch cycles.
  • Use documentation to triage incidents and escalation to support teams.
Requirements & Skills
  • Technology degree or equivalent work experience providing technology support.
  • Experience with monitoring systems using Panacya, HP Openview, NetCool, OpsWare or other equivalent systems.
  • Intermediate experience troubleshooting Servers with either Unix and Windows Operating Systems installed on them.
  • Understanding of and basic experience with VAS, PowerBroker, and/or BoKs access methods.
  • Understanding of and basic experience with VMWare.
  • Use of Network Data Mover (NDM) Connect and NDM Enterprise.
  • Experience with Windows batch or Unix Shell Scripting a big plus.
  • 2-3 years of professional experience.
