Description
Computer Operator will be a 2nd shift with 3:00 pm to Midnight fixed hours, including but no limited to:
-job/process monitoring on HPUX & W2K/NT systems
_tape changes, vaulting and offsite storage transfers
-enterprise monitoring using Nagios & Whats Up Gold
-Monitor/assist vendor service technicians when they come in at night


2-5 yrs expereince, NOC experince a must in a 24x7 shop, needs to show longevity and solid job history, needs to have knowledge anout video cables, mouse cables/wires
Required Skills:
Working knowledge of both HP-UX and Windows NT/2000 Server
Understanding of print services under HP-UX and NT/2000.
Understanding of enterprise backup proceedures and diciplines
Proficient use of W2K/XP Pro and Office products
Must be documentation and procedure oriented
Industry experience requirements:
Veritas Netbackup (3.4 & 4.5)
HP 9000 Server ( K,L,N,V, rp5470)
HP Tape Library ( SureStore 20/7000 Preferred & Storage Tek L20)
2-5 yeras operations experience (Mandatory)
Dell & IBM Intel platforms
Linus/FreeBSD Experience (Secondary)
CS Degree or equivalent work experience
AS 400 knowledge a plus
