Description
A large retailer in Orange County is in search of a Computer Operator at their corporate headquarters. This is a 3rd shift position reporting to the Operations Services Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process and monitor daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly processing on AS/400 as required by procedures and frequency.

Monitoring of AS/400, Windows, AIX, and Sun platforms.

Monitor backups and handle tape management on the above platforms.

Maintain documentation and logs of daily operations of current I.T. Systems(s) including operating systems functions, software applications, and system periperals.

Support special projects and emergencies as necessary.

Verify the availability and completeness of all output and distribute all output (reports, etc.) as necessary or directed.

Cover extended shifts as necessary including holidays and weekends.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have 2-5 years experience in an IBM AS/400 Operations environment.

Possess knowledge with ROBOT/Schedule and other ROBOT products.

Possess knowledge with TRAC/400 or TSM products.

Island Pacific (IP) or PKMS experience a plus.

Understanding of hardware connectivity across different platforms a plus.

Previous monitoring experiences on Windows, AIX and Sun platforms a plus.

IBM Certifications or OS/400 training a plus.

Salary of $50,000 to $65,000 (DOE) with exceptional benefits offered.
