ALL APPLICANTS FOR THIS POSITION MUST BE ABLE AND WILLING TO PARTICIPATE IN A GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE PROGRAM. Experienced, highly motivated and self-directed individuals to join the Division's Computer Support Team as a Windows/Linux system administrator. Primary position responsibilities include procuring, installing, configuring and supporting workstations, laptops, and servers running Windows and/or Linux operating systems; subnet management and network support; support of printers, scanners, storage systems and related hardware and software; responding to user support requests; and other tasks as required. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the security of systems running the Windows operating system by installing patches and updates as needed. Must be willing to work occasional overtime and safely lift computer monitors and equipment up to 40 lbs. Butler International, Inc. is a global provider of technical and technology services. Requirements:

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Extensive experience providing comprehensive desktop support for Windows-based PCs. Extensive experience supporting Linux-based workstations. Experience installing and configuring dual boot Windows/Linux desktops. Demonstrated experience with Windows security. Ability to work independently with minimal direction resolving an array of computer support issues. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team supporting a wide range of customers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. DESIRED SKILLS: Experience supporting Solaris and/or Mac OSX systems. Experience working in classified computing environments. Experience with LANL WIN domain, or other Active Directory administration. Experience with Legato backup software. This position requires an L access authorization. Applicants must have the ability to obtain an L clearance, which normally requires U.S. citizenship. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Associates Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience.
