We have an immediate need for a Configuration Management - CM Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION
Role Definition and Associated Responsibilities
Configuration Management - CM Analyst

Definition
Responsible for creating and maintaining source code libraries with appropriate access controls, defining and monitoring folder structure in repository for multiple development efforts, bundling/configuring builds for development, quality assurance, and production quality software releases, and managing code integration between multiple projects. This position is not expected to have subordinates.

Areas of Responsibility

Relationship Management:
Accountable for client relationship for external and internal customers and responsible for directing the following work efforts:
? external relationship management related to software configuration vendors, products, installation, and support
? internal relationship management related to software development project teams
? support external project development teams (ie, architecture, offshore)

Personal Attributes:
? must be professional and very personable (able to communicate and get along with anyone, regardless of level, title, etc.)
? must be capable of upholding policies and stay factual at all times
? candidate must have a positive attitude/personality, even when under stress
? candidate must be confident and be able to stand up for themselves

Program/Project Management

Responsible for directing work efforts to achieve the following:
? analyze configuration requirements
? document and communicate configuration management policies to the project team
? maintain Configuration and Change Management plan
? set up configuration libraries with appropriate access controls
? ensure configuration objects for projects are identified and naming conventions/versioning schemes are defined and communicated
? create builds with a high level of accuracy and completeness
? perform merges from different code branches in accordance with the Configuration Management Policies
? meet agreed to deadlines for producing builds and performing merges
? ensure routine backup and archival of project repository is in accordance with Configuration Management Policies
? identify risk and issues related to use of configuration libraries
? escalate unresolved issues and audit findings to appropriate management levels
? create, maintain, and execute automated build scripts

General Management

Responsible for the:
? compliance with company approved Software Development Life Cycle policies and procedures

Experience Requirements:
Requirements include but may not be limited to the following:
? solid interpersonal, verbal/written communication, organizational, and planning skills
? experience with software development code libraries and configuration tools

Educational Requirements:
Requirements include but may not be limited to the following:
? BS degree in computer related field or equivalent work experience
? certifications related to software development

Technical Skills:
MUST HAVE:
? Subversion - must have experience branching/merging/administration ANT Scripting
? Build Management 3+ years
? Configuration Management 3+ years
? UNIX commands/UNIX based scripts - experience writing scripts from scratch UNIX commands/UNIX Scripting - preferably Solaris experience
? ANT Scripting
NICE TO HAVE:
? Bugzilla
? Perl Scripting
? Maven
? Visual Source Safe
? Ability to read Java code
? Windows batch Scripting
