PEROT SYSTEMS CORPORATION is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. It is currently looking for a Systems Integration/Middleware Specialist to join our team in Herndon, VA.

Job Responsibilities:
This individual will be a member of the Configuration Management/Middleware team responsible for systems management, source code management/versioning, system sizing and deployment strategies, application hosting, building and deployments, as well as support for various middleware components. These include BEA Tuxedo, Oracle Application Server, OSM COSprint, various file transfer protocols including Sterling Connect/Direct/Mailbox as well as traditional ftp, sftp etc., Serena Dimensions source code control, CVS, Subversion, and Maven.

Duties include application and middleware support throughout their life cycles as well as supporting the tools and frameworks utilized by the team. Tools and frameworks utilized to manage and monitor the application layer include Unix shell scripting, PHP scripting, C/C++ and various open source packages such as Apache and GSOAP.

Required Skills:
  • 10+ years of application experience to include configuration management and middleware support.
  • Looking for broad base of skills with a combination of the above technology and tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of the entire development process as well as the tools utilized such as compilers, profilers, revision control systems.
  • System level programming skills with Unix shell scripting, C/C++, and PHP.
  • Knowledgeable with Revision control systems.

    Desired Skills:
  • BEA Tuxedo management.
  • Familiarity with HTML, XLST, and SOAP.

    Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree preferably in Computer Science or related degree program.
