Technisource is seeking an HP Open View consultant for roughly a 3 month engagement in Taylor, TX. The main goal is to Install & configure HP OV to mimic the production environment. Below is an overview of the duties, this will assist in both the development an fail over environment.

1. Install HP Open View software (including OMu, OMw, OVPI, BSM; BPM, SiS, DDM) in a development and failover environment.
2. Configure and customize installed software to replicate the ERCOT production environment.
3. Complete the integration of the full HP suite of applications in all the development, production, and failover environments.
4. Test software installed in the development environment to ensure migration to the production environment will not corrupt current functionality.
5. Test software installed in the failover environment to ensure complete portability between the production and failover environments.

Required Skills in order of importance, the ideal candidate will have 5 years of:
Past experience administrating HP Software products (OMu, OMw, BAC, DDM, PI, OVIS, NNM)
Past experience working with HP (licensing, support)
Understanding of how core services are setup and configured (DNS, LDAP, DHCP)
Programming Skills (Perl, Windows Scripting, Java, HTML, XML, UNIX Scripting)
Windows, RedHat, UNIX System Administration skills
SQL Server and Oracle Database Administration Skills
Good oral and written communication skills
Application Support experience is a plus (Exchange, Active Directory, TIBCO, J2EE, .NET)
Team player with the ability to work with key stakeholders at all levels in the company
