Description
Robert Half Technology is currently recruiting for a Software Engineer for a six month project in Midtown. Our client is a financial services consulting company with a specialization in software development.Responsibilities:To work as a Business Analyst within Product Control IT on the development of strategic applications that will provide P&L reporting solutions and various reconciliation reports and control checks for the Product Control Group. ResponsibilitiesDevelopment using the Microsoft tool set as part of a large development effort with an aggressive delivery timetable. The right candidate will be responsible for the interpretation of requirements and the implementation of specific modules with an established architecture. The role will also require involvement during Integration and User Acceptance testing. Requirements: •2-6 years of relevant work experience •BS in Computer Science •Strong knowledge and experience using Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and Microsoft DTS packages•Web development skills; experience programming using Microsoft.NET C# or Java J2EE, IIS, ASP •Ability to write and understand light Javascript •Good understanding of XML •Demonstrated experience working with large databases •Experience writing stored procedures, views, and the various functions involving the Microsoft SQL language •Excellent analytical skills •Ability to understand and solve complex problems •Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines •Strong written and verbal communication skills •Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with clients and peersPreferred but not required:•MBA •Knowledge of Oracle •Knowledge of Autosys job scheduler and Clearcase code repository •Knowledge of Excel/Access •Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio •Knowledge of OLAP and Microsoft Reporting Services a plus •Experience with Product Control and Middle Office functional areasHow to Apply:No third parties No corp to corp/1099 LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY Due to large response, candidates that do not meet the requirement may not be contacted regarding their submission If you are qualified please forward your resume to ashley.westbrook@rht.com
