Description
Contingency & Recovery Systems Administrator needed for client located in San Leandro, CA. Candidate will perform the following responsibilities: Perform installation/deployment of desktop/server hardware and software. Provide technical knowledge, installation and support of proprietary financial/banking applications running on Microsoft, AIX and Solaris platforms. Be available for after-hours and weekend work when activation and testing of DR facility is required. Document and publish systems configuration and test results to appropriate levels. Restore and testing of production environments in DR facility. Provide installation, maintenance and support for connectivity to various host interfaces with the Federal Reserve Banks, Depository Financial Institutions and third party vendors. Consult and advise Contingency and Recovery Operations Manager regarding Contingency and Recovery Service implementations.Qualifications/Experience: Minimum 3 years of technical experience installing operating systems and applications on Windows platform. Any level of Unix systems administration experience is preferable. Ability to rapidly learn Unix systems administration. Able to multi-task and manage changing priorities to meet demands of internal and external customers. Experience in working in an enterprise data center environment is preferable. Demonstrate ability to contribute to an atmosphere of teamwork through collaborative behavior and open communications. Knowledge of TCP/IP based LAN/WAN technologies. Experience of interfacing at all levels from senior management to junior staff. Experience of working with customers at a senior level. Excellent analytical, communication (Verbal and writing) skills; process-oriented. Enjoys problem solving.Work environment: Willingness to work erratic and long hours when necessary to achieve customer and company objectives. Travel to other offices. Requirements:

Min. 3yrs of technical experience installing operating systems and applications on Windows platform; Unix System Administration experience; financial/banking applications running on microsoft; AIX; Solaris platform; TCP/IP; LAN/WAN. 4yr BS or CS Degree. Certifications preferred.
