JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Upgrade all Veritas products on the Markets servers to the latest version;- Build, install and configure servers and their operating systems;- Automated monitoring of server performance, availability and security;- Engineer system backup and recovery solutions;- Support development, QA, production and contingency deployments/tests;- Provide production and contingency support.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or at least 5+ yrs experience of Solaris administration and troubleshooting on midrange SPARC hardware;- Strong working knowledge of Veritas Foundation Suite, Cluster Server, Netbackup (4.5 or higher);- Working knowledge of Veritas SFRAC- Strong working knowledge of Solaris 10 - Good knowledge of Solaris containers- Proven experience in shell scripting;- Excellent analytical as well as written and verbal communication skills;- Work experience working in an environment where change control and compliance policies and procedures are enforced; and - Demonstrated ability to execute tasks with minimal supervision and handle multiple assignments.Desirables (in the order of relevance):- Hands-on experience in SAN administration;- Working knowledge of WebSphere (5.x or higher) administration;- Working knowledge of MQ administration;
