Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Serves as Contract Manager with the Customer Contract Manager and specialists as well as ACS’ Project Managers and Program Executives.Responsible for knowing terms and conditions of assigned contracts and provides contractual guidance to the program staff and other functional groups.Manages agreements to contract baselines.

Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers.Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.Proficient with related software packages.

Provides business and acquisition strategy advice to business and technical management.

Analyzes Requests for Proposals (RFP) and assists in the proposal process and reviews RFPs to identify and mitigate risks to ACS.Understands pricing requirements.Assists in preparing complex and/or large cost/price proposals in compliance with the RFP and ACS’ Contract Lifecycle Management policies and procedures.May help write, edit, and prepare cost and contractual volumes of proposals.Assists in responding to Customer’s questions to ACS’ proposals and prepares data for reviews, as well as orals and debriefs.

Tracks contract modifications and updates as necessary.Negotiates task orders, delivery orders and contract changes.

Reviews existing contract and billing abstracts, prepares and updates as necessary.Prepares and signs client correspondence.

Works with routine and complex contract clauses and contractual requirements.Researches contracts issues in the contract.Constantly strives for cost savings/avoidance and revenue generation.

Serves as point-of-contact with prime contractors, proposal managers, and pricing personnel for contractual issues, non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements and/or cost proposals.Responsible for knowing terms and conditions of assigned teaming agreements and RFPs.Works with Project Managers and Program Executives to negotiate teaming agreements statements of work.

Position location is Chicago, IL and vicinity.

Education and Typical Years of Experience:


The candidate must have at least 6 or 8 years experience in IT. Operational experience or at an IT account manager level or even a technical background coupled with contracts management would be desirable.

Candidates must understand and be willing to be a contract ADMINISTRATOR as well.

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field, or equivalent related work experience preferably in Information Technology or other high tech related industry.Advance degree desired.
