Job Description:
The ideal candidate will work in the architecture, design and development of control software for next-generation satellite communications payload emulators. Software will be developed primarily using the Sun Solaris operating system. Code will run on commercially available single-board computers, in an Embedded environment (running VxWorks), and will control a mix of COTS and proprietary VME digital boards (including DSPs and FPGAs). Development will be performed in a disciplined, collaborative environment, employing modern programming practices, including object-oriented design. Programming will employ inter-process communication, to include the use of socket-based packet communication and modern network protocols (eg, TCP/IP).

Education/Experience Requirements:
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science with at least 3 years Embedded software development experience. Candidate should have experience with Unix/Linux, C++ and object-oriented programming, using modern software development methods. Familiarity with version control (eg, ClearCase) and defect tracking (eg ClearQuest) systems is a plus. Demonstration of strong communication skills, both oral and written, are required. Must be willing to work in a fast-paced and team-based development environment.
