Description
Synch-Solutions is seeking a highly energetic candidate with 5 years experience to fill the position of Corporate Controller with Synch-Solutions in Chicago, IL. This position will be responsible for coordinating, administering and controlling all aspects of the financial operations and public reporting. Functional responsibilities include directing the accounting function, including the monitoring and development of internal controls and procedures in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, maintaining fiscal records, development and monitoring of the annual budget and forecast as required, and preparing internal and external financial reports. You will also be required to take an active role in partnering with the business and challenging current practices and processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities required but not limited to::

Creation and maintenance of the corporate forecasts, generally resident in an Excel format.
Payables and receivables, oversight of collection activities - sometimes in a hands-on way and other times via management of Synch-Solutions staff.
Generation of monthly financial statements.
Preparation of financial portion of monthly packages.
Create management reporting package.
Participate in staff meetings.
Communication with Executives on financial issues.
Operation of accounting software.
Development and tracking of financial policies and procedures.
Oversight of facility issues such as building lease and parking issues, general office equipment, facility security, and corporate insurance.
Coordination of annual audit.
Coordination with external preparer for timely filing of corporate returns.
Maintenance of external credit lines and adherence to reporting requirements.
Provide support for funding activities (due diligence, documentation review, data mining for valuation support.)
Management of Finance and Administrative staff
Provide guidance and leadership in the selection of future software as required to support financial operations.
The ability to multi-task with multiple clients during a week.
