Description


Providing prompt and accurate technical support ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs); desk-side Windows 2000 workstation support in a networked office environment to include MS Office and Outlook configuration and troubleshooting support; software installation and configuration support; new user set up, printer and network file share configuration and troubleshooting; peripheral installation, configuration and troubleshooting; computer and user moves, adds, and changes. Support personnel will be responsible for reviewing trouble ticket queues, documenting support and diagnostic activities, escalating problems as required, and accurately and effectively resolving and closing assigned trouble tickets.

Required Skills:
â?¢ Good interpersonal and written communication skills
â?¢ Good hardware/software troubleshooting skills
â?¢ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
â?¢ Individual must have great CUSTOMER SERVICE skills
â?¢ Working knowledge of Windows 2000 Workstation, MS Office, Outlook and Exchange in a networked environment
â?¢ Working knowledge of various hardware peripherals, software applications, TCP/IP networking, and printer troubleshooting
â?¢ Ability to diagnose workstation, peripheral, printer problems
â?¢ Ability to track and document support provided and actions taken to resolve problems
â?¢Ability to independently learn and apply new skills acquired through mentoring, classroom, computer-based and self-paced training
Required experience:
â?¢Minimum of 1-year computer hardware, software, break/fix and troubleshooting experience
â?¢Minimum of 1-year providing customer support for Windows 2000 and MS Outlook in a networked environment
â?¢Minimum 2- years experience supporting standard shrink-wrap software applications such as MS Office products
â?¢Minimum 1-year experience using Remedy or other commercial trouble ticket system
â?¢A+ and Associate Dell Certified System Expert certification required
â?¢Microsoft certifications preferred
