Mastech Inc is a growing company dedicated to innovation and teamwork. We are currently seeking a DB2 Database Administrator for our client in the Banking domain. Duration: 12 months +
Location: Jacksonville, FL/ Zip Code: 32224
Compensation: $75,000 - $80,000/ Annually

Role: DB2 Database Administrator

Role Description: The DB2 Database Administrator would need to have at least 5 years of IT industry experience.

Required Experience/ Skills:

- 4 or more years of experience with DB2 with Data Partitioning Feature (DPF)* on AIX.
- Exposure to Data Warehousing and DB2 Version 9.5.
- Working knowledge of UNIX and experience with writing Shell Scripts and Perl.
- Expert-level experience with the following DB2 Enterprise Edition technologies:
- High Availability Disaster Recovery, HACMP, HADR and Log Shipping:
- DB2 Workload Manager.
- DB2 Storage Optimization.
- MDC.
- STMM.
- Performance Tuning at all levels (Sub-system, Database, and SQL).
- Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and planning skills.
- Performance Tuning and DBA administration.
- Disk I/O optimization techniques using SAN and RAID technologies, networking, and business continuity planning.
- A working knowledge of SAP environment and DBA Cockpit Tool.
- Excellent experience monitoring and tuning in SAP ECC and BI/BW landscapes.
- Effective communication skills.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science

We are looking only for people willing to join us directly as W2 employees.
W2 salaried with full benefits or W2 hourly all-inclusive rates.
