Description
CDI is looking for a Database Specialist with SQL Server.

Experience to work for one of our clients in Largo, FL on a full-time, permanent basis.

This person will be responsible for providing technical and organizational leadership for the database environment including overseeing the development and organization of the databases, assessment and implementation of new technologies and providing Information Technology with a long term perspective on the relationship of database technology to business opportunities.

A majority of the work for this position will involve working on the integration and consolidation of several databases.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: establishing data needs of the users, planning data flow for new/revised databases, creating conceptual, logical, and physical design of the databases, testing and documenting new systems, ensuring that storage, archiving, backup, and recovery procedures are implemented and functioning correctly, and lead/support the implementation of new applications.


Required Skills:
Working knowledge of data marts, data warehouses, data mining, or other data repository technologies, systems, and methodologies; in-depth working knowledge of Windows, Pervasive, MS SQL Server, or similar systems.

Ability to determine database problems and propose solutions.
Ability to work with both technical and non-technical personnel.
Strong analysis skills.df-tc
