Job Summary: Provides day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware. Diagnoses, identifies and resolves problems. Installs, repairs, configures and troubleshoots desktop systems, workstations, and network connectivity issues in a diverse environment. Resets passwords. May implement corrective actions from remote site or guide user through corrective actions. Utilizes diagnostic software packages and confers with internal technical support personnel and/or vendors to affect solutions. Communicates technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel. Assists in determining hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades. Ensures corrective actions are implemented and documented. May participate in implementation of information technology standards and infrastructure projects. May conduct training programs designed to educate computer users about standardized applications. May refer more complex problems to higher-level technical staff personnel for resolution.

Interactions: Builds productive working relationships internally and externally.

Knowledge: Developing professional expertise and proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques and standards.

Job Complexity: Works on problems of moderate scope in support of first-tier help desk function where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Supervision Normally receives minimal instructions on routine work, general instructions on new projects or assignments.

Education: Associate's Degree in Computer Science. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
