Description
Adecco Engineering & Technical is looking for a Medical Device Drafter to work a 2-3 month contract position for GE Healthcare in Westborough, MA.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficiency in SolidWorks 2008. Familiarity with MS Visio, including template development.

Ability to manage varying workload to accommodate customer expectations for custom design and lead times.

Demonstrated proficiency in reading and development of engineering drawings. Facility with Excel spreadsheets.

Ability to engage in technical discussions on design aspects with customers.

Must be willing to submit for a background check and drug test.

Must be legally authorized to work in the US.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop process flow diagrams for customer review based on initial specifications and consultation with ReadyCircuits Product manager.

Communicate with customers to resolve queries on custom-designed products, on occasion.

Develop detailed engineering drawings for internal manufacturing and/or review designs from external supplier for consistency with customer specifications.

Develop and maintain templates of disposable biomanufacturing products for use by sales force in generating initial custom-design specifications.

Develop and maintain database of engineering drawings of custom designs, for reference purposes, under guidance of Product Manager.

Assist ReadyCircuits Product manager in tracking inquiries and developing forecasts. Assist in registration of new products in GE systems and provide all information associated with product specifications for proper registration.

Develop cost models and provide quotations to sales force under direction of ReadyCircuits Product Manager

DESIRED:
Minimum Associates degree or 5 years experience in medical device industry.
Demonstrable experience in biopharmaceutical disposables bag design.
Medical Device Industry experience in fittings, tubing and connectors.Understanding of Plastics particularly their use in biopharmaceutical environments. Familiarity with GE Product Registration databases.
