Database Administrator with Oracle 10g experience is needed to provide expertise and leadership on our staff in Nashville, TN. This project is a full life-cycle development of a statewide public assistance system, including eligibility determination.


JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Database Administrator (DBA) will use the experience gained during his/her five or more years of previous Oracle DBA work in the dynamic new applications development environment of our V.I.P. Project. (This is much more than the maintenance of a static database environment.) The DBA will use his/her comprehensive knowledge of the Oracle 10g database, experience with the installation and support of a large scale databases; comprehensive knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL; experience developing schemas & data structures; experience with Oracle database performance & tuning in a Web enabled environment; in addition to the database maintenance and support, backup/recovery & support regression testing experience. The DBA evaluates and installs database management systems. Plans computerized databases, including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines and protection. The DBA also contributes to the development of Data Administration training materials, and provides DBA technical instruction to customer staff. And, the DBA communicates with our customer's executive staff on a regular basis. All other duties as assigned.


PREFERRED Qualification:
Oracle 10g Certification
