Fast growing Software Development company has an immediate need for a Linux/Database Engineer with great experience working on Open Source technology projects.

If you are a Data Analyst with experience in Oracle and Linux environments, please read on

What you need for this position:

- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university.
- Solid experience with Oracle 9i or newer.
- Experience working in Linux environments.
- MYSQL experience a plus.
- Strong working experience with any of the following technologies and platforms: PL/SQL, TSQL, ETL Programming, Java Web Applications Administration and Troubleshooting, Java development tools, Linux, Solaris, Tomcat, Apache, Websphere, OAS, CAS, LDAP, and Load balancing appliances.
- Excellent communication skills as there will be consistent client and team interaction
- Experience with one or more of the following ERP applications is a plus: FRS, Banner, Datatel's Colleague, Jenzabar, Peoplesoft/Oracle.


What you'll be doing:

- Data migration from Legacy systems to company Open Source Solutions including analysis, development, use of SQL and ETL tools, etc.
- Development of data system interfaces between product solutions and other enterprise applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve client and product issues; Document issues and resolutions in enterprise knowledge base.
- Collaborate extensively with all peers, product development, open source communities, and project/account managers
- Develop technical specifications for client customizations, product enhancements, etc.
- Work with product development and open source communities to design solutions that are robust and sustainable
- Work closely with engineers to specify and scope of new features and enhancements associated with custom client development
