Data AnalystNorthridgeDescription:DUTIES:Under general supervision, works closely with end users to identify and document data collection, analysis, and integration needs; conducts and monitors data transfers from Brio and PeopleSoft (or similar software applications) into enrollment management technology software such as Hobsons EMTConnect2; develops and administers data use policies, procedures and standards; ensures e-messages are delivered according to the established calendar; produces usage reports for e-communication pieces sent through the unit; assists in development and launch of assessments and prepares reports; maintains organized and confidential student files; and performs others duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS: Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in a related field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education.* Equivalent to six months of full-time, responsible professional experience performing computing and technical analysis of procedures. Knowledge, Specialized Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of programming and testing methods and techniques for web development using, IBM/ Mac, IBM compatible-Windows, Netscape, Explorer, Brio, PeopleSoft (or similar software used in academic setting), Hobsons EMY2Connect2 (or similar software).* Thorough knowledge of client/server technology, analytical methods and techniques, general programming and testing methods and techniques, and general knowledge of Web development tools. Ability and specialized skills to: accurately communicate and deliver design requirements within a complex hierarchical organization; independently configure and administer server-based applications; analyze problems; propose effective solutions; understand functional and procedural requirements; design user-friendly interfaces; relate solutions to management, technical staff, and users; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.df-tc
