Ajilon Consulting is looking for a Data Architect with solid Investment Management background. This is a full time opportunity.

This is a senior level position with responsibilities to work with data architecture team, platform architecture team, Senior Teach Leads and Senior Development managers to provide data architecture strategies, patterns and access methods.

The Enterprise Data Architect must have experience in:
. Enterprise data architecture, data modeling and large database application development.
. Dealing with issues like scalability, high-availability, replication, security, synchronization, metadata management, data integration and data governance strategies.
. Oracle and Unix environments.
. Strong working knowledge of other DBMS environments.
. Current knowledge of state-of-the-art modeling tools and metadata models.

The Enterprise Architect will develop a cohesive Enterprise level data architecture strategy, oversee platform wide data architecture initiatives, and provide problem solving and issue resolution support to the larger data architecture community. The platform scope includes portfolio accounting, trade order management and execution and clearing, currency and foreign exchange processing, corporate actions processing, reconciliation, financial (reference) data management, financial planning, portfolio management, and operational interfaces and workflow. In addition to these operations processing activities, the position scope also includes client administration, relationship management administration, activity management, and investment strategies in support of the franchise model targeted. This model is ultimately focused on Straight Through Business Processing from client goal capture through transaction initiation and execution. The technical environment includes Java J2EE, BEA Weblogic Server and Weblogic Integration, Sun/Solaris 10, Oracle, Informatica PowerCenter, Crystal Enterprise, Netegrity, and MQ Series with packaged and custom middleware, as well as, an SEI developed user interface and workflow. The program approach includes buy and modify, build and integrate. The technical architectural challenges include high transactional and user volumes, complex integration, 24X7 world wide operations and a unique, business- oriented, Straight-Thru-Processing workflow design. Provide leadership for data architecture across the platform, as well as participate with platform architecture and senior management to drive enterprise data standards. Participate with and across project work tracks to evaluate business requirements and design application development technologies across the enterprise. Develop and oversee data access strategies, data management, data dictionary and meta data standards. Prepare architecture and design documents. Work to establish best practice and methodology in the area of architecture, design and development. Participate in the vendor selection process as required. Define and implement corporate reference data strategy. Distribute client data mart strategy. Primary decision maker on data architecture

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
. Total of 15+ years Investment/Wealth Management industry experience
. 7+ years experience with enterprise data architecture
. Data modeling and data access strategies within Oracle 10g
. Experience with the ER/Studio modeling tool
. Interaction, navigation and scripting within Unix
. Enterprise Data Integration / Data Warehousing / Data Mart / Business Intelligence
. Application development experience in large-scale OO, client-server, web-enabled and OLTP/OLAP applications
. Experience with application development and deployment life cycle and methodologies, Broad technical knowledge, leadership and organization skills, creativity and technical vision
. Experience with information management technologies, such as data warehouse and data mining
. Familiar with n-tier application architecture
. Financial Services/Investment Management domain experience
. Strong communication, mentoring and collaboration skills
. Excellent problem solving skills and proven ability to think creatively to seek optimum solutions.
