Description
Sapphire Technologies is looking for a Senior Level Data Architect. This is a contract to hire OR full time employee position.
Job Duties: Designing the overall program data architecture. Developing and owning the Program data strategy. Translating business requirements into an actionable conceptual/logical data model. Defining data architecture strategy which ensures the scalability of the Program database/data warehouse platform while maintaining expense controls. Defining and maintaining database security standards for overall Program. Monitoring the program progress from a data management viewpoint. Defining and recommending data infrastructure to support delivery teams. Coordinating inter-dependencies among various components within the physical data inventory. Maintaining data model repository. Strategizing Metadata management. Accountable for all Program models (logical and physical). Accountable for Mapping rules from source to ODS to Data Mart. Accountable for Adherence with Bank data standards. Accountable for overall data management guidelines and principles, and the spot audit of projects to ensure that each adheres to the standards.
Developing the Data Policy and the technical solution for the management, storage, access, navigation, movement, and transformation of data. Enforcing principles of good canonical data design.
Providing support to the business analyst team in reverse engineering of existing data models. Developing strategies to ensure complete compliance with Information Security and other Bank compliance requirements around data access. Demonstrating thought leadership

Experience/Skills
4 Years Undergraduate degree. 12+ years in Capital Markets with bulk of career in Database/Warehouse environments. Extensive experience in Oracle and Terra Data Comprehensive experience in trading technologies, information and data, including trade data, instrument data, reference data and pricing data.
Expertise in working with Bloomberg, ADP, and other related trading execution source systems. Extensive experience in Data Modeling, Database tuning, and Data logical models and data physical models 5+ years management of Data Delivery teams, including personnel management, project resource staffing and resource coaching and development. Experience with Meta Data repositories and Meta Data Management.
Six Sigma certifications a plus

Other desired skills:
