Description
We are currently seeking to fill a Data Architect position for our client in Chicago, IL. We invite you to review the position requirements below and apply today if your skills match our need.

Overview:
The primary job responsibility will be to work with various product teams to define & manage data models. The Data Architect will need to have excellent data modeling skills in OLTP & Data Warehousing environments in addition to possessing strong understanding of meta data concept.

Additional responsibilities include analyzing requirements to create XML DTDs/schemas, DBMS optimization, load strategy and implementation using Erwin & Rational development tools.

Qualifications:
- Data modeling using ER tools.
- Meta model design.
- OLTP and Data Warehouse design.
- XML DTD/schema design.
- Experience with Erwin.
- Experience with Meta Data tools.
- Experience with Oracle, SQL Server or Redbrick.
- Experience with Rational Unified Process methodology.
- Experience with XML schema design.
- Experience with LDAP schema design.
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Knowledge of development methodologies
- Self Starter / Learner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum Education and Years of Experience:
- BS degree (CS or MIS preferred) or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years experience on software development projects, primarily focused on data modeling and meta data.
