We are currently seeking a Data Architect for a contract to permanent position in the Indianapolis IN area for our client.

This position in a clinical research organization is a technical, hands-on role. This position will focus on new software development, designing data architectures, schemas and structures including modern web/semantic approaches.

Skills:

. Developing, managing and implementing structured methodologies and frameworks of business semantics modeling (OWL/RDFS).
. Familiarity with Business Metadata/semantic modeling tools Schema logic, Revelytix, Top Braid Composer, Poundhill Software Metagrove.
. Experience with Data Modeling. Experience with Data Modeling tools * Erwin, ER-Studio, Rational
. Deep experience with XML.
. Experience with tools such as XML Spy.
. Deep experience with RDMBS database technologies (Sql server 2005/2008)
. Desired Experience with development on Microsoft .NET
. Technical background in implementation of unusual data challenges in a SQL Server environment
. Business and Technical Metadata Management preferably with experience in XMP or similar approaches.
. Data Quality Management practices using commercially available tools
. Data Governance Concepts and Processes
. Deep Knowledge on Data Integration covering varied data sources inside and outside the firewall, including shredding XML using SSIS
. Master Data Management concepts

REQUIREMENTS

. BS degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
. A minimum of 5 years relevant technical experience with Data Architecture and development
. Health & Life Sciences experience a plus
. Experience with Agile methodologies
. Familiarity with emerging technologies and software development best practices
. Demonstrated abilities to communicate with both technical and business stakeholders
. Solid understanding of service oriented architectures, application frameworks and system integration methods
. Must have excellent problem solving skills
