We have an immediate opening for a Data Architect to function as a leader for data analysis and data structure design. Engage the project teams in accordance with architecture policy and procedures. You will serve as the liaison between the requirements-generating business community, the systems development group, and the Database Administrators. Responsibilities include ensuring that all involved parties have the same understanding of the concepts underlying the business data requirements, and that the data structures designed satisfy corporate requirements. You will perform in the role of a master communicator who translates business requirements into artifacts that form the basis for database design based upon business concepts.
5+ years of experience as a Data Architecture is required, along with strong database management concepts. Must have strong Data Analysis and Data Modeling skills, from conceptual to logical, and the transformation of logical to physical databases. Design and document Data Integration (ODS/Warehouse) solutions. Ability to recommend appropriate Business Intelligence solutions (Analytics/Scorecards/Dashboards) based on data usage requirements is needed. Must have the ability to communicate with Infrastructure teams regarding SFTP, SSH and encryption requirements. Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to the technical staff, business management, and executive management are essential. Knowledge of Oracle and Teradata database systems is a must. Working knowledge of Cognos solutions is a plus. B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering is preferred.
