Data Architect
Contract To Hire
Location: Plano, TX

Essential Job Functions:
This position is responsible for working with clients to create logical and physical data models to support delivery of databases that conform to established and emerging enterprise design standards. The candidate will be required to work with database administrators, application developers, business analysts, and business sponsors to ensure that the design is delivered to specification and standards. Data sourcing, targeting, and transformation efforts will be needed, also.


Required Qualifications:
??? Strong dimensional modeling skills (star/snowflake) with experience designing conformed dimensions for a large enterprise
??? Extensive experience in OLTP, ODS, and OLAP design patterns with an emphasis on conformed dimension design.
??? Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to share enterprise data management vision with all levels of the company.
??? Good SQL skills on most major DBMS platforms (DB2, Oracle, SQLServer, Teradata).
??? Working knowledge of BI tools is a must.
??? Normalized modeling skills
??? Data warehouse/ data mart design skills
??? Experience in real time data warehousing to a normalized target data structures is desirable.
??? Master data management experience is a plus.
??? Data access and service design experience is a big plus.
