Join our innovative team for the following position:

Our client in the Pittsburgh, PA area has an immediate opening for a Data Center Coordinator. The successful candidate will posses 5+ years of applicable experience managing data center environments and associated technologies to run high availability data centers. Additionally, he or she should have a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field. This position is mainly responsible for the day-to-day operations of the data center and responsible for the security and safety compliance of the data center and related support systems such as heating, air conditioning, electrical, UPS, routers, switches, cabling, etc. and, when required, closely manages contracted maintenance.

Required:
. Experience with networking; specifically with network cabling runs and management
. Experience with managing vendors relating to data center environments (Cooling, Power, Fire Supression)
. Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving various site performance issues and tuning
. Customer service orientation.
. Ability to work effectively as a member of a team, and the ability to interact successfully with academic as well as business and regulatory personnel
. Ability to analyze problems and recommend solutions
. Possess effective leadership skills and mature judgment
. Goal oriented and highly ethical

Responsibilities:
. Communicates with Infrastructure staff to ready data center floor for any new technology scheduled to arrive. This would include all power and cabling runs to standards, racking of equipment, etc.
. Explores, evaluates and recommends data center technologies to support business requirements
. Clearly articulates situations and opportunities to infrastructure managers in both spoken and written form
. Analysis of data center operations through weekly/monthly metric reports showing capacity and performance for all environmental systems
. Maintain data center environment to ensure high availability (exceeding 99.9% uptime) for company utilization
. Support and maintain data center environment as required
. Change Management following ISO certified policies and procedures
. Scheduling and management of all proactive maintenance for data center environment including (HVAC, Chiller, Generators, Fire suppression, environmental monitoring system, tape backup rotation and others as necessary)
. Timely troubleshooting of data center environmental issues
. Creation and maintenance of documentation
. Design and Configuration of disaster recovery or business continuance capabilities relating to data center
. Escalates issues to IT Infrastructure Management as required to meet documented service level requirements
