Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Data Warehouse Architect to join our team in Mechanicsville, Va..

Job Responsibilities:
Designs and develops total systems solutions to the customer’s enterprise-wide systems problems and new project needs. These solutions deal with the major business processes used to manage the overall enterprise. The role focuses on Data Warehousing with detailed data model and design. Role also requires additional skills and understanding of the industry best practices and methodologies to tie dissimilar components together into an aggregate system. Data Modelers participate with the customer in the strategic design process and translate business needs into technical systems solutions. They are responsible for the technical correctness and completeness of integrated systems designs.

Required Skills:
At least ten years experience in data systems to include Data Warehouse environments.
specifically:
  • Capture data extract requirements for multiple subject areas sourced from an external ERP system.

  • Design 3rd normal form target data model and map to logical model.

  • Work with Data Warehouse Extract and Load developers to design mappings for Data Capture, Staging, Cleansing, Loading, and Auditing.

  • Design workflows and schedules for automated data loading.

  • Work with Database Administrators to implement physical data model.

  • Work with Data Warehouse front-end designer to define aggregate tables and views needed to implement dimensional models.

  • Participate in peer reviews of development artifacts.
  • Implement via turnover process, all programs with documentation to data warehouse support team.



    • Desired Skills:
  • Logical / Physical data modeling (Oracle Designer)

  • UNIX Shell Scripting

  • Informatica Designer and Workflow Manager

  • Oracle PL/SQL / SQLPLUS

  • Business Objects Designer


    • Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • BS or work equivalent
