Location: San Francisco, CA - financial district

Responsible for architecting and managing the infrastructure necessary to support our clients Customer Intelligence teams reporting, analytics, and campaign management needs.

Required Experience

Strong hands-on Business Objects (BO) experience
6+ years of architecture consulting or industry experience
6+ years of software development life cycle (SDLC) management, preferably in Datawarehouse or Business Intelligence field

Terradata experience would be a plus as well as TRM (Terradata Relationship Management)

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Vendor management
Strong SQL skills; SPSS skills preferred but not required
Data modeling skills
Good written and verbal communication

Field of Experience

Experience designing, managing, or using Business Intelligence/Reporting tools
Thorough knowledge of Datawarehouse development lifecycles
Significant experience managing production use of Business Intelligence and analytic tools; experience managing campaign management tools not required but a plus
Strong understanding of the linkage between information analytics and business execution
Experience managing campaign management tools not required, but a plus
Demonstrated ability to optimize Business Intelligence infrastructure (including data warehouses, reporting tools, etc) for scalability and efficiency
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment.



Position Accountabilities

Manage a small team that is responsible for working with key business partners to articulate clear requirements and prioritize all marketing Datawarehouse projects and Business Intelligence infrastructure builds.

Responsible for the implementation and ongoing management of the teams core toolset including its reporting (Business Intelligence), analytic, and campaign management tools.

Responsible for optimizing all facets of the infrastructure including query speed, report scalability, and tool interoperability.

Develops and maintains the teams information management and distribution roadmaps and implements new capabilities including executive dashboards.

Works with a cross-functional team to develop a phased roadmap for the marketing Datawarehouse including the publication of project timelines.

Works with the IT team to formulate the data acquisition, access, and archiving strategy for the marketing data warehouse.

Ensures that the marketing Datawarehouse is optimized for efficiency, scalability, and business usability.

Manages the process for collecting business and technical requirements for multi-channel marketing campaign execution, Datawarehouse extension, and reporting and analysis needs.

Reviews and approves the translation of business requirements into functional application specifications and logical data model requirements.

Contributes to the design of Business Intelligence application solutions including database design, ETL, report design and analytics integration.

Ensures the quality and validity of Datawarehouse projects by developing and maintaining QA/data audit scripts.

Provides ongoing data quality support and escalates issues to the Datawarehouse team.

Manages the functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, and support procedures for all infrastructure tools for reporting, analytics, and campaign management.

Develops and maintains key infrastructure to support reporting and campaign management needs, including the development of universes and metadata.

Identifies opportunities to increase business usability and profitability of existing information architecture.

Develops and manages vendor relationships
