Client is a large, online retailer that is looking for technical talent to join their growing team and this exciting new portion of their business.

Data Warehouse Architect will be responsible for providing expertise, methods and technologies across all elements of data and information management/architecture, from strategic to project/tactical direction, business to technical, legacy system data to the new, common data foundation - for the Internet Services Group; - an open source, highly scalable, SOA, web-centric, multi-brand eCommerce platform.

Responsibilities:
Will define vision for and executing toward the evolution of core capabilities in: Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Master Data Management, Legacy Data Mapping/Data Conversion and Data warehouse/business intelligence (BI)
Work with data architects, business domain experts, source system data leads/specialists, logical / physical data modelers, ETL architects/developers, and BI team to understand all data-centric requirements across subject areas and to devise appropriate near- and long-term architectural data strategies.
Will serve as the sole point-of-contact to other competency centers and application teams regarding data-related strategies, architecture, approaches and capabilities to ultimately be delivered. Collaborate with other cross-functional IT architects (EAI, Technical Infrastructure, etc.) on strategy, architecture and emerging solutions for their assigned process areas/technical disciplines.
Drive consensus agreement on business data definitions and rules; lead the rationalization of data stores and corresponding data organization/flow for master data, transaction data and derived/calculated and summary data.
Work with data architects and physical modelers to assess preliminary data volumetrics and key estimating parameters for core master and transaction data; develop sizing estimates for EDW and ERP DW data stores of all types

Experience/Skills
Required Experience/Abilities:
10+ years experience in Enterprise Data Warehouse Architecture and 3+ years experience with data/information management-related components of large, complex data solutions for Open Source, SOA, web-centric eCommerce applications.
Strong technical experience with data modeling, design and architecture principles across master data, transaction data and derived/analytic data; strong technical expertise in data storage/management technologies for both OLTP and DW solutions.
Deep knowledge of best practices through relevant experience across data-related disciplines and technologies, particularly for enterprise-wide data architectures, data management, and data warehousing / business intelligence.
Able to lead/drive teams to consensus decisions on complex business and technical data challenges; and will integrate/synthesize broad and diverse inputs and large amounts of information to formulate cohesive data architecture strategies and solutions.
4-5 years experience with Oracle Databases is REQUIRED!
10+ years experience in a variety of data warehouse environments including conception, creation and manipulation of very intricate data marts, data modeling, architectures; ETL tools, ANSI SQL, et
Skills in datastage and datastage parallel extender and MicroStrategy is highly desired.
