NVR Inc. is seeking a highly self-motivated individual to assume the position of Data Warehouse Associate Programmer in our Corporate Office in Reston, VA.

Responsibilities of this position include:
1. Assisting in the analysis and design of the corporate data warehouse reports
2. Programming analytical dashboards for business decision making
3. Providing production support for existing data warehouse reports
4. Applying industry best practices and methodologies in all efforts
5. Developing and enhancing BI reports to meet business needs.
6. Providing and maintaining program and system documentation for all work.
7. Training and assisting data warehouse users.

A variety of development methods and tools will be employed, including:
  • BI Tools (Hyperion /Oracle Intelligence)
  • ETL Tools (IBM DataStage)
  • MS SQL Server 2005
  • Dimensional Data Modeling
  • Java
  • HTML
  • .Net

    Candidate must have:
  • Understanding of SQL statements and basic database design methodologies.
  • Experience programming using object-oriented concepts
  • Good team, organizational planning skills and strong time management skills to balance dynamic workloads in a complex environment.
  • Strong aptitude for learning and understanding business process and needs
  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

    Additional attributes are a plus:
  • Understanding of Data Warehouse Methodologies and multidimensional data modeling.
  • Experience programming in JavaScript
  • OLAP Development
