Description

My client is looking for the right person to take over various Sr. level responsibilities within their data warehouse. The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Knowledge of several of the following: Business Objects/Crystal reporting platform
  • Cognos Power Play Transformer, Power Play client, Impromptu Administrator and Impromptu client.
  • In-depth knowledge of structured query language (SQL) including efficient query formation and optimization
  • Thorough knowledge of data warehousing concepts
  • Thorough knowledge of star schema, fact/dimension tables
  • Ability and desire to define reporting or OLAP specifications using pre-written templates
  • Ability to research and identify data anomalies across multiple systems with assistance from functional and technical experts of those systems
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • minimum of 3 years experience in a data warehousing environment including development and delivery of reporting and business intelligence solutions.
  • A minimum 2 years development experience in: Crystal Reports, Business Objects XI, Cognos 8, Cognos Power Play, Cognos Power Play reports, Cognos Impromptu.
  • Experience using a large-scale database such as Informix, Oracle or DB2.
  • Experience with an ETL tools
