*This is a 3rd Shift Position, 11:00pm-8:00am*
Prestigious Enterprise Company, located in the western suburbs of Chicago, is currently seeking a 3rd Shift Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician. Candidate will provide remote support for troubleshooting of maintenance issues.
Responsibilities:
-Transport troubleshooting and repair analysis. -Ability to provide IP security isolation and mitigation.-Monitor Network elements for IP or voice vulnerabilities.-Interface with customer to gain thorough understanding of customer issue, so effective troubleshooting is enabled -Collect and log information and relay information to Provisioning and Call Center. -Strive to provide resolution of Trouble Tickets within established Metrics.-Higher level trouble isolation. -Act as the customer advocate for timely repair of customer issues -Provide regular status to Call Center until trouble is cleared -Work closely with teammates to increase overall knowledge of each individual, and to provide better service to customer -Provide technical information and support for customers (internal and external) -IP troubleshooting on Routers and Firewalls.Qualifications:-Working knowledge of voice communications, including local and long distance traffic flows for both switched and dedicated access. -Working knowledge of data circuit types and terminology including Internet, MPLS, VoIP and integrated service. -Working knowledge of Turin Networks or other DACS type device ie DSC, Tellabs or Alcatel.-PRI, BRI, and Voice grade services competency.-In depth knowledge of all types of voice and data testing.-In depth knowledge of ISP network topology.Required Experience:-Minimum of 5 years experience as communications technician in network operations -Ability to perform T1 or local access trouble isolation and resolution across all areas of Voice and Data communications -Excellent customer interface skills -IP experience, CISCO experience at ISP level. -Experience in on site customer troubleshooting.-Demonstrative experience in Lucent in 5ESS maintenance, provisioning, and troubleshooting.
