This req is for our direct client:

Data Warehouse for this group is a high volume, high throughput environment. The goal is to architect, build, implement and maintain data warehouse / data mart systems to collect, cleanse, process, analyze data, and to provide reporting and analytic capabilities on these business critical data sets.

The goal is to create a single version of the truth from many data sources spread across the globe for the group. The data marts / data warehouses range in size from 500 GB to approximately 2.5 Tb.

Key Responsibilities:

- Logical and physical schema design and development through data modeling techniques. Designs must be flexible enough to adapt to fast changing business requirements.
- Monitor and maintain data integrity through reporting and maintain an efficient reporting infrastructure that performs well under varying data / process / load intensities.
- Design, develop and test effective aggregation strategies to aggregate granular data in order to ease the reporting effort and make the reporting process as efficient as possible.
- Take part in business discussions along with customers to understand their need and convert their business requirements into technical requirements / design. Document such designs, processes, procedures for internal and external sign off.
- Extract, transform and load (ETL) design, development and support for moving huge data volumes from source systems into the warehouse following significant cleansing, look-ups and processing.
- Help Marketing teams gather data for complex analyses and segmentation studies
- Should be available to support 24 x 7 business critical DW systems on a cyclic basis with fellow team members.

Technical Skills:
- 4+ years experience and demonstrated expertise in Business Objects Reports development, Universe modifications and Maintenance is required (DeskI, WebI XI R2, Version 6x).
- Must have strong analytical skills (Data Analytics / Business Analytics) to source, analyze and interpret raw data into business knowledge base.
- Very good understanding of RDBMS concepts especially Oracle is a must. Very Good knowledge of SQL is required.
- Excellent communication skills, Ability to work with business users to understand business requirements and convert them to technical requirements for development is a must.
- Experience of working with VLDB / VLDW systems on Oracle RDBMS with key role in data modeling and BI development is a plus.
- Good knowledge and experience in ETL design and development with Informatica Power Center is a plus.
- Strong fundamentals in Oracle 9i, SQL and PL/SQL skills desired.
