The Information Systems Division of Edward Jones is seeking individuals for Database Administrator (DBA) positions. DBAs work to provide high availability and maintain optimal performance and response times. DBAs also install database software and other third-party software. They research production problems and provide system monitoring and timing. Finally, DBAs are responsible for backup and recovery of all data at all locations.

Responsibilities:
-Perform database monitoring and tuning.
-Manage and install database software and upgrades.
-Monitor and participate in capacity planning and space management.
-Provide backup and recovery, disaster recovery, and problem resolution.
-Participate in logical and physical database design.
-Interact with and support internal business software development personnel and external vendors.

Requirements:
-A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or MIS or equivalent experience.
-Knowledge/exposure to DBMS software (i.e.,DB2).
-Experience with performance-monitoring concepts, capacity planning, backup and recovery, disaster recovery and tool usage.
-Strong problem analysis, organizational, and prioritizing skills.
-Effective as an individual contributor or in a team environment.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Excellent organizational skills.
-Ability to multi-task.
