Description
Our client, a leading distributor dedicated to quality is currently looking to hire a Database Administrator in its corporate location, in Cobb County. As a Database Administrator, the responsibilities will include but are not limited to: designing, implementing, and maintaining all databases with respect to access methods and time, validation checks, and statistical methods. Will maintain data dictionaries and ensure integration of systems through data design, map workflow and create design specifications based on functional requirements as well as perform quality control, audits, troubleshooting applications for system and performance problems; identify and resolve information flow, content issues, and transformation of business requirements into logical data models. In addition, the Database Administrator will design and consult on data design, database architecture, metadata and repository creation; develops data blueprints, evaluates hardware and software platforms, and integrates systems. Due to the nature of this role, the talented and accomplished candidate will also serve as an expert to application developers and provide training and support to less-experienced database administrators or analysts.df-tc

Experience/Skills
Education requirements include either a BS/BA a related discipline or an MS/MA. Working experience includes 5 or more years as a Database Administrator with the following knowledge: database development and administration including design, installation, preservation, performance tuning, and disaster recovery, and data query language.
