Database Administrator/ Marketing assistant
Summary:
The Database administrator collects and collates, formats and analyses data from various data sources for the benefit of the sales force, sales and marketing management and aftermarket management.

The position reports to the Director of Marketing. The position also responds to Medical Specialists in any Customer Center needing information from the data available.

Responsibilities
-The Marketing Assistant will identify, collect and process any information and data available and useful to sales, service, marketing and sales management, and service management. To acheive this, they will work with appropriate individuals in Marketing, Sales, international Medical Specialists, Aftermarket marketing and service, IT and others as needed to identify, obtain and process all relevant information.

-The Marketing Assistant will assist in selection and development of database(s) for the consolidation of available information.

-The MA will electronically and manually collect and enter available data on an ongoing basis, ensuring the main database(s) are kept up to date and ready for analysis.

-Will assist the Marketing Communications Manager with planning, coordination and execution of events involving the sales force.

Reporting
-In consultation with Marketing, the National Sales Manager, Aftermarket Manager and interested Medical Specialists, creates and issues as scheduled regular reports from the database(s).

-Performs territorial analysis to provide the Customer Center with detailed information and data to optimize sales and service activities.

-Works with the Marketing Communications manager to inform the field sales and service groups of any critical company or product knowledge.

Analysis
-As requested, the Marketing Assistant uses the database(s) to produce specific analyses.

Other
As a person with a unique perspective, brings their own new ideas for product improvement and new products, services and programs through the new ideas evaluation process.

Contributes as a member of the marketing team and a concerned employee.

Other duties may be assigned which are not included in this description but are essential to the overall work of the company.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelors or Associates degree in marketing, database management or other related field and or equivalent experience creating or managing databases and with data entry are required.

The ideal candidate will be fully fluent with SQL and SQL Server based databases and applications. However, fluency with other databases will be accepted in absence of SQL experience.
The candidate MUST have experience developing a database- either in Excel, Access or SQL.

The ideal candidate will have strong appreciation of the marketing applications for databases (e.g. CRM, sales management, customer contact management, promotions management) and will have some experience in managing databases for these applications.

A positive attitude, an ability to work with others outside the marketing team, and an ability to accomplish defined objectives with minimal supervision is required.df-tc


Experience/Skills
-MUST have database development experience in one of the following programs:
Excel, Access or SQL.

The ideal candidate will have strong appreciation of the marketing applications for databases (e.g. CRM, sales management, customer contact management, promotions management) and will have some experience in managing databases for these applications.
