Description
Database Architect and Administrator Our client will sponsor for H1B visa transfers - must be currently in the US to be considered. Job Description: The ideal candidate will be a driven, dynamic and self-motivated Database Architect and Administrator who is responsible for modeling and design of DB for our Client's next generation product suite. This person will also perform DB administration duties for existing and newly developed DB centric application. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in enterprise class, transaction heavy and data-intensive DB applications. The DB Architect will work very closely with the software architect and other engineers to deliver a world class solution. Job Duties: Manages the physical database design, implementation, maintenance and support functions on corporate database platforms of all types.,Assists with physical database performance tuning efforts. ,Expert in the areas of conceptual and physical database design, development, implementation and maintenance. ,Perform ongoing database performance monitoring.,Analyzes database performance statistics and performs required tuning activities. QualificationsBS in Computer Science or equivalent with 8+ years of experience or MS with 6+ years of experience.Experience and knowledge* 3-5 years of experience in physical database modeling, design and development* 5 or more years of experience administering/maintaining a relational database environment (i.e., MS/SQLServer, Oracle, DB2, etc.). * Extensive knowledge of database management tools, such as:SQL (DDL, DML); stored procedures; triggers; database utilities; SQL views; clustering and replication technologies.* Knowledge of Logical and Physical Data Modeling and development techniques using various ERD tools and products.* Experience with local and wide area networks, interfacing with systems such as Microsoft NT, AS/400 and UNIX.* Experience in DBMS support (in a three-tiered web-based environment).* Project management experience.* Experience in capacity planning and implementation as it pertains to DB.Desired Skills* Microsoft Certified Database Administration (MCDBA) Certifications.* 2+ years developing databases via physical data modeling tools (CASE).* Experience in the healthcare industry.
